Join us to sew on Mondays and Saturdays at St Joseph AME or Durham Technical College. We work together on projects for our community or our own personal projects. There is always someone to teach new skills or help you with your project. At these sessions, we will provide you with a kit to make a quilt, pillowcase, bag, or walker bag for our community. Join us -- for good conversation, learning, and an enjoyable time. Please register to let us know you are coming.

We can teach you how to sew! We offer classes to help everyone from beginners to advanced sewers.
For adults, we start with projects that teach you the basics -- table runners, pillows, bags, and more. We have many ideas and selections for you to choose from.
We teach groups of two to ten - we dream of building a large community of sewers who want to help their community.
Contact us at connectingwiththreads2@gmail.com to set up a class today!

With our mobile classroom, we can set up anywhere that you have space -- we even teach in the hallway when needed! We have sewing machines and all of the notions needed to learn to sew.
We have recently taught a group of teachers how to make a table runner. Our sessions have built their community of sewers right at the place where they work. Sewing is a way for them to relax and join together at the end of their day.

Our goal is to teach people to sew in order that they can then give back our community. We offer free kits to anyone who would like to make an item for our community -- make a quilt or a bag for someone in our community who needs their day brightened with a useful gift.
